Birth and Postpartum Services
Your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period are a unique journey through which you deserve to feel informed, respected, and supported. It is my goal as a childbirth educator, birth and postpartum doula, and placenta specialist, to partner alongside you and your family to provide individualized, non-judgmental, evidence-based support so that you can make informed decisions about what is best for you and your family.
Birth Doula Package
My birth package is everything you need to have the positive birth experience you deserve. It consists of two prenatal appointments in which we will create your birth plan, practice comfort measures, and discuss a postpartum plan so that the transition home with your baby is as smooth as possible. The prenatal appointments are also a great opportunity for me to learn about you individually as well as a couple so that come time for your birth, I have an understanding of how you both feel best supported and can integrate that accordingly. This package also includes: 4 weeks of on-call time; continuous support throughout your labor and delivery; one postpartum visit in which I can offer assistance with feeding and newborn care basics; and admission to the Fourth Trimester Support Circle, a six-week postpartum support group held by The Nesting Place

Postpartum Support, Specialising in Sleep
Bringing home a new baby is an exciting time that comes with a host of new emotions, experiences, and challenges, but it is not something you have to navigate on your own. As a postpartum doula, I assist with breast/chest and bottle feeding, maximize your rest and postpartum recovery, help with newborn care or household management, and teach you about safe sleep and sleep hygiene, laying the foundation for independent sleep down the road. My goal is to lighten your load and make the transition home with your baby as smooth as possible so that you can enter parenthood confidently and focus on what is most important: rest; recovery; and bonding with your new baby.
Investment: $40/hr for daytime support, $45/hr for overnight support, +$5/hr for multiples
Placenta Encapsulation
Your placenta nourished and protected your baby in the womb and now it can do the same for you! Offering potential benefits such as faster recovery time, decreased risk of postpartum mood disorders, and increased milk supply, your placenta can be a great resource for your postpartum recovery period and beyond!
If you would like to proceed with placenta encapsulation, I will: discuss your placenta needs during a phone, e-mail, or video chat consult; arrange transportation and storage of your placenta after birth; clean and prepare your placenta with the highest safety and cleanliness standards; encapsulate it using gelatin or vegetarian capsules according to your preference; and deliver the placenta pills to your home within a week after your birth.
*Before choosing if placenta encapsulation is the right choice for you, I encourage you to do your own research and evaluate the current evidence on the topic. This article by Evidence Based Birth is a great place to start.
In addition to placenta encapsulation I also provide free umbilical cord keepsakes as well as add-on options such as tinctures and salves.
Investment: $300 (Birth clients receive a $25 discount)
